Our Story
Our story began in 1962, when Raymond Melouney – a visionary with unwavering determination- founded Lee-Chem Laboratories. From humble beginnings, Raymond’s ingenuity and commitment laid the groundwork for what would become a trusted name in personal care.
His values of integrity, dedication and passion continue to guide our business today.
Over the decades Lee-Chem Laboratories has grown from a local manufacturer into a globally recognized personal care specialist.
The Melouney family, across generations has played a vital role in shaping the company, nurturing it’s growth while honouring the founder’s vision. Although Raymond passed away in 2017, his legacy continues to inspire every aspect of our work.

At Lee-Chem, we are proud to align our business practices with the global vision. Our Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Framework aligns with the Global SDG goals.
We have focused our efforts on three key Sustainable Development pillars where we believe we can make the greatest impact:
Climate Action (SDG 13)
Our 228 kWp solar system powers our factory and cuts carbon emissions, while our 100,000-litre rainwater harvesting and recycling plant conserves water and reduces reliance on municipal supplies - together reducing our environmental footprint and creating a more sustainable future.
Good Health & Well-Being (SDG 3)
As part of our commitment to people and communities, we partner with the Pink Drive to raise cancer awareness and provide annual health checks for employees to support early detection and well-being.
Quality Education (SDG 4)
